Solutions
Go deeper on what matters to your yacht
Detailed pages on the subjects captains and ETOs ask about most.
A specialist partner that understands both the technology and the realities of life onboard.
Marine IT specialists
We work on yachts. Salt, vibration, limited space and satellite bandwidth shape every design decision we make.
Based on the Côte d’Azur
Onboard intervention from Saint-Tropez to Monaco, including Port Vauban, Cannes and Nice. Wider Mediterranean on request.
24/7 support wherever you sail
An engineer reachable around the clock, with secure remote access to diagnose and correct issues without waiting for the next port.
Independent advice
Starlink, VSAT or cellular: we recommend the mix that fits your itinerary and budget, not a single supplier.
Security built in
Every network we deliver is segmented, patched and documented. Cybersecurity is not an optional add-on.
Documentation you can hand over
Inventory, network diagram and saved configurations, so the next crew or contractor is not starting from zero.
How it works

Testimonials
What captains, ETOs and managers say
"YachtLink transformed our onboard internet experience. Fast, secure, and hassle-free."
"The Starlink and 5G failover just works. Guests stream in the Balearics and the bridge keeps its priority bandwidth."

FAQ
Yacht connectivity questions, answered
Straight answers on Starlink Maritime, VSAT, onboard Wi-Fi, cybersecurity and how we work.
What does YachtLink do?
YachtLink provides IT services for yachts and superyachts: Starlink Maritime and VSAT internet with 4G/5G failover, onboard Wi-Fi and networking, IP telephony, cybersecurity and IMO cyber-risk compliance support, diagnosis and troubleshooting of existing installations, documentation and 24/7 remote support. We are based on the Côte d’Azur.
How do I fail over from Starlink to 5G when approaching Monaco or Antibes?
With a Peplink (Pepwave) router configured with WAN priorities and health checks. Near the coast, traffic moves automatically to the 4G/5G link when it is healthy and faster; back at sea it returns to Starlink, with VSAT as a further backup. The crew does not switch anything by hand.
Why is my Starlink slow or dropping at anchor?
Usually an obstruction from the mast, radar or domes, a plan without priority data, double NAT behind the yacht router, outdated firmware or a saturated onboard Wi-Fi. A short diagnosis identifies the cause and most are fixed the same visit.
My crew or guests cannot get online. Can you help?
Yes. Our yacht IT and connectivity support covers diagnosis and troubleshooting of Starlink and 4G/5G connections, onboard Wi-Fi, network and firewall equipment and IP telephony. We find the cause, correct it, test it and document the change. See the Yacht IT & Connectivity page for details.
Is Starlink Maritime a good option for a yacht?
For most yachts cruising the Mediterranean, yes. Starlink offers high speeds and low latency at a fraction of traditional VSAT airtime costs. We usually pair it with a cellular connection near the coast and, on larger yachts, with VSAT as a backup.
Starlink or VSAT: which one should I choose?
Starlink offers higher speeds and lower cost; VSAT offers contractual service levels and coverage in areas where Starlink is restricted. Yachts with strict uptime requirements often run both with automatic failover. We help you decide based on your itinerary and budget.
Can guest Wi-Fi be kept separate from the crew and ship networks?
Yes. We separate the network into distinct segments for owner, guests, crew and vessel systems such as navigation, CCTV and automation. Guests get easy access without ever reaching the bridge network.
Do you provide 24/7 support when the yacht is at sea?
Yes. An engineer is reachable 24/7 by phone, email or WhatsApp, and secure remote access lets us diagnose and correct most software and configuration issues wherever the yacht is. For hardware work we meet the yacht at its next port or travel on request.
Where do you operate?
On board across the whole Côte d’Azur: Monaco, Villefranche, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Nice, Antibes (Port Vauban), Golfe-Juan, Cannes, Saint-Raphaël, Sainte-Maxime and Saint-Tropez. La Ciotat, Toulon, Marseille and the Italian Riviera on request. Remote support is available for yachts worldwide.
Do you help with IMO cyber-risk compliance?
Yes. For ISM-managed yachts we prepare the technical measures and documentation required by IMO Resolution MSC.428(98) and the MSC-FAL.1/Circ.3 guidelines: asset inventory, risk assessment, network segregation evidence, crew procedures and an incident response plan, ready for the SMS and for flag and class audits.
Do you work during refit and yard periods?
Yes. Winter refits on the Côte d’Azur are the best moment to rebuild cabling, switching and Wi-Fi. We plan the work with the captain, the ETO and the yard so the network is commissioned before sea trials.
What does the free audit include?
A review of your current internet, Wi-Fi coverage and security configuration, real-world speed and latency measurements, and a short written report with prioritised recommendations. It can be done remotely or onboard.
Do you work with charter yachts and management companies?
Yes. We work with private and charter yachts, captains, ETOs, owners and yacht management companies.
Ready to upgrade your yacht’s connectivity?
Start with a free audit. We measure what you have today and show you exactly what faster, safer internet onboard would take.
